01What data do we collect?

Deadline does not require an account, email address, or other personal information. The student content you enter — including subjects, assignments, due dates, and settings — is stored locally on your device and is not sent through product analytics.

If analytics are enabled, Deadline sends anonymous product-interaction events as described below. Aptabase may also receive normal technical context supplied by its SDK, such as the app version, operating system, locale, and device or platform information.

02Do we use analytics or tracking?

Deadline uses Aptabase as its third-party provider for optional anonymous product analytics. Product-interaction events may include: subject created, assignment created, assignment completed, and assignment deleted. An assignment-completed event may include anonymous timing information, such as how early or late it was completed.

We use this information only to understand feature usage and improve Deadline. It is not used for advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking, and it is not linked to a Deadline account or your real-world identity.

You can disable analytics in Settings at any time. When disabled, Deadline stops sending new analytics events.

This website uses Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to understand anonymous website visits. Website analytics are separate from analytics in the Deadline app.

03Do we use advertising?

No. Deadline contains no advertisements and no advertising SDKs. There are no ad networks integrated into the app.

04Do we require an account or login?

No. Deadline requires no account, no email address, no login of any kind. You open the app and use it immediately.

05Do we share data with third parties?

Student content is not shared with Aptabase. When analytics are enabled, anonymous product events and normal SDK technical context are sent to Aptabase for the purposes described above. Deadline does not sell user data.

06What happens if I delete the app?

All your data is permanently deleted when you uninstall Deadline. Since everything is stored locally on your device, removing the app removes everything. There are no backups on our end because we have no servers.

07Children’s privacy

Deadline does not require children or other users to provide an account or personal information. Student content remains stored locally, and optional anonymous analytics can be disabled in Settings.

08Changes to this policy

If our privacy practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top so the policy continues to describe how Deadline handles information.
