Your calendar is built for events: meetings, birthdays, appointments. Your reminders app is a general-purpose to-do list. Neither was designed with student assignments in mind.

Deadline is built for exactly one thing: tracking assignments with urgency. The moment you add a task, it shows you a live countdown and colour-codes it. green when you have time, yellow when it's closing in, orange when it's urgent, and red when it's critical. No setup, no calendar views to navigate, no noise.

A calendar shows you when something is due. Deadline shows you how long you actually have and makes sure you feel it.

Yes, completely free. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no premium tier. Every feature in the app is available to everyone, always.

It was built by a student who needed it. There's no business model here — just a useful tool.

No. Everything you enter — subjects, assignments, due dates — stays on your device. We don't have servers storing your data. We don't have accounts. We have no idea who you are, and that's intentional.

If you delete the app, your data is gone. If you get a new phone, you'll need to re-enter your subjects. That's the trade-off for complete privacy.

Fully offline. Deadline doesn't need an internet connection for anything. Open it on a plane, in a lecture hall with no signal, wherever — it works exactly the same.

Each assignment card has a 2px coloured line at the bottom that tells you exactly where you stand:

Green 5 or more days left. You're fine.
Yellow 2 to 4 days left. Start thinking about it.
Orange 24 to 48 hours. Time to get moving.
Red Under 24 hours. The line pulses. You should be working on it.

You can also toggle a live seconds countdown in Settings for assignments under 24 hours, or extend it to all assignments if you want maximum urgency everywhere.

Yes. There's no time limit on undo. Go to your completed assignments and restore it whenever you need to. No questions asked.

Android (Google Play) is planned for v1.1. It's being built by one person, so timelines are honest rather than rushed. Follow along or reach out if you'd like to be notified when it launches.

Go to Settings inside the app and tap Clear All Data. This wipes everything — subjects, assignments, completed items. It cannot be undone, so make sure you mean it.

Alternatively, deleting the app from your phone removes all data permanently.
